My freshman year at Tennessee State University was challenging due to initial feelings of loneliness, but the vibrant social life on campus helped me adjust. I enjoyed participating in organizations like Alpha Lambda Delta and the National Society of Leadership and Success, which enriched my experience. However, I believe there should be major improvements in the financial aid department and scholarship opportunities. The current system primarily rewards top-grade students, which can be discouraging for others who are equally hardworking. A more inclusive and supportive financial aid system would greatly benefit a broader range of students and enhance their university experience.
